Channel Selected to Work with Virginia Foundation for Healthy Youth

Baltimore, MD, July 11, 2016—The Virginia Foundation for Healthy Youth (VFHY) has selected Channel Communications to execute design and marketing initiatives to aid efforts to prevent and reduce childhood obesity and youth tobacco use. Selected through a formal RFP process this one-year contract (with renewal options) will enlist the Channel team to develop a variety of graphic art/design and branded collateral pieces for the Foundation.

Cory Farrugia, President of Channel Communications, said, “We are privileged to work with the Virginia Foundation for Healthy Youth to showcase our teams design talents but doing so for a great cause. We love this category of work and find it very fulfilling and gratifying.”

Founded in 1999, the Virginia Foundation for Healthy Youth leads statewide efforts to reduce and prevent youth tobacco use and childhood obesity.  Because of the Foundation’s great success at reducing youth tobacco use and helping youth in Virginia learn to make positive healthy lifestyle choices, the Virginia General Assembly renamed the Virginia Tobacco Settlement Foundation to the current VFHY, which added obesity prevention and reduction to the Foundation’s mission.

With offices in Baltimore, MD and Washington, DC; Channel (www.channel-com.com) provides a full range of integrated marketing services, including branding, marketing communications, advertising, and broadcast and interactive media.
