Channel VP Invited to Capitol Hill for New Bill

Long-time Channel Communications’ Vice President, Rick Grant, was selected to attend an important meeting on neurological diseases at Washington DC’s Capitol Hill on Thursday, August 1, 2024. The meeting was held by Congresswoman Jennifer Wexton (D-VA) and introduces a bill aimed at creating a new program focused on looking at potential causes of neurodegenerative diseases, especially environmental triggers. The bill is called the “HEALTHY BRAINS Act”.

The bill hits especially close to home for Rick as he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s several years ago. Immediately following his diagnosis, Rick joined the Michael J. Fox Foundation where he dedicates much of his spare time and continues to advocate passionately for the Foundation. Rick’s main drive for volunteering for ongoing medical studies is not centered on his own health but future generations in hopes of finding a safe and viable cure for the disease.

The Channel team will continue to support and stand by Rick’s side as he proceeds with his influential journey.
