Channel Communications Wins a 2021 Silver Award of Distinction for Frederick County

BALTIMORE, MD, October 2021 — Channel Communications received a 2021 Silver Communicator Award of Distinction for its A Way Forward Together campaign on behalf of the Frederick County Health Department.

The campaign was created to communicate the ill effects COVID-19 can pose in depression, trauma, alcohol and drug use and suicide. Channel developed thirty and fifteen second television spots, radio, out of home, print, collateral, online advertising, social and a landing page. “We are very proud of this work. Winning is very exciting but the message shared with residents of Frederick was so crucial, educating on services available to those adversely impacted by COVID.” said Rick Grant, Vice President of Channel Communications.

The Communicator Awards is an international award program sanctioned and judged by The International Academy of Visual Arts. This year marked the awards 27th year. Channel was on hand September 30, 2021, to present the statue to Frederick County leadership including County Executive Jan Gardner, Communications Director Vivian Laxton, and Health Officer Dr. Barbara Brookmyer.
