BALTIMORE, MD, June 14, 2022 — Channel Communications received a 2022 Silver Communicator Award of Distinction for Kids like Us video on behalf of the Frederick County Health Department.
Channel created an animated/live action 9-minute film called “Short Stories from Courageous Kids” which featured vignettes of Michelle, Eric, Patrick and Simone. Each experiencing some form of drug or alcohol abuse with someone within their immediate family. Through the use of live action, each shared their personal experiences. Interspersed throughout are animated sequences that help illustrate each story while keeping a fourth grader engaged. A young adult narrator steps through each of the stories. “We are very excited to have worked on this video. Winning this award is wonderful, but the message delivered is what it’s all about.” said Rick Grant, Vice President of Channel Communications.
