Frederick County Enlists Channel Communications for Medical Assistance (Medicaid) Enrollment Campaign

Channel team to promote Medical Assistance (Medicaid), raise awareness—and enrollment—in Frederick County.

BALTIMORE, MD, April 27, 2018—Cory Farrugia, president of Channel Communications, announced it will be expanding the Frederick County Health Department (FCHD) Medical Assistance website www.FrederickMedicaid.org by adding new web pages and a marketing initiative to raise awareness of the Maryland Children’s Health Program (MCHP) and the MA Transportation program.

“We are excited to be working with the Frederick County Health Department again this year. Our assignment will be to increase awareness and enrollment in the MCHP program, said Farrugia. “The Channel team is committed to making it as easy as possible for county residents to enroll in the medical assistance program (Medicaid). It’s important work that we take very seriously.”

Channel was brought on board to build on the work done last year with the Administrative Care Coordination Unit/Ombudsman Program (ACCU). The combined digital and traditional media tactics include two new web pages, portal page, social media, Facebook advertising, banner ads, radio and print advertising.  The goal of the campaign is to increase awareness of MCHP while driving calls, appointments and walk-ins to the FCHD to get assistance with Medicaid eligibility.
