Agency to use its expertise to help educate Howard County residents
BALTIMORE, MD, May 2025 — Howard County’s Health Department has hired Channel Communications to provide strategic, creative, online, social and traditional media services for a variety of upcoming public health communications efforts. Channel will kick off the relationship by creating a COVID-19 vaccination program targeted to select underserved populations in the county.
Channel is tasked with developing a new campaign targeted to African American and Latino populations reminding them of the importance of keeping up with their COVID-19 vaccinations. Channel developed a television/online spot along with companion radio/streaming audio, online ads as well as various collateral pieces. The work is executed in both English and Spanish and will be delivered to the county footprint.
Rick Grant, Vice President at Channel Communications, stated, “COVID-19 is still lingering out in the community. The Channel team is excited to be working with the team at Howard County to educate the community. We hope the campaign will show people why vaccinations are so important.”
