Channel Communications Gets Onboard with MidShore Opioid Misuse Prevention Program

Channel Communications Selected as New Partner for MidShore Opioid Misuse Prevention Program.

BALTIMORE, MD, October 26, 2018 — Cory Farrugia, President of Channel Communications, announced that the agency has been selected by the MidShore Opioid Misuse Prevention Program (OMPP). The MidShore group, located on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, is made up of five counties that include: Kent, Queen Anne’s, Talbot, Caroline, and Dorchester.

MidShore brings together a solid group of resources and ideas to help prevent opioid misuse. Their current campaign theme and website (https://iwishiknewmidshore.org/) entitled I Wish I Knew or “IWIK” has information for recovery and treatment, prevention, the latest facts on prescription opioids, as well as the risks and proper storage and disposal. There are also tools and talking points for parents to speak with their children.

Channel was brought on to continue the momentum started with the current IWIK campaign, generate further awareness, and drive traffic to the IWIK website notifying residents they can text “IWIK” 71441 for help or information. The campaign will be entirely digital and consist of Facebook, Pandora, and online banner advertising.
