Technology-focused College Elevates Its Status

Capitol College enlists the Channel team for communications support during transition to new identity

WASHINGTON, DC, October 7, 2014—On October 1st, Capitol College officially announced its new designation as Capitol Technology University, and is now set to launch marketing communications developed by the Channel to promote its new status.

Cory Farrugia, Channel’s president, remarked, “Capitol College has been offering graduate degrees and functioning as a university for years, and this new name accurately reflects who Capitol truly is. This change in Capitol’s identity is a great opportunity to let prospective students around the country know about the full scope of opportunities that Capitol provides.”

Channel has created a comprehensive marketing communications campaign, featuring the Capitol Technology University designation, that includes print advertising, a web landing page, a radio spot series, banner ads, and pay-per-click ads.

Capitol Technology University is located in Laurel, MD and is the only independent institution of higher education in Maryland dedicated to education in engineering, computer science, information technology, and business through practices of leadership and innovation. Founded in 1927, Capitol offers associate, bachelor’s, and master’s degrees, a Doctor of Science in Cybersecurity, as well as professional development training and certificates.
